    7 Jewish Feast Days and Prophetic Significance

    Feasts

    Leviticus 23 = convocations and public rehearsals. The feasts are pictures of events to come or which have already taken place.

    SPRING FEASTS

    1. PASSOVER - Picture of the Death of Jesus Christ - Lev 23:5 and 1 Cor 5:7

    Christ fulfilled this to the day and to the hour; Jews had 1500 years of practice

    2. UNLEAVENED Bread - Burial of Jesus - Lev 23:6 - leaven is sin; unleavened bread is sinlessness

    3. FIRST FRUITS - Resurrection - Lev 23:10

    Christ resurrected on this very day; 1 Cor 15:20 - first fruits of the dead!

    4. PENTECOST -  Descent of the Holy Spirit/Birth of Church ; Feast of Weeks 50 days after (2) - Acts 2; 3000 Jews responded to first proclamation of Gospel

    2000 YEARS - CHURCH AGE

    FALL FEASTS

    5. Feast of Trumpets - Rapture (Rosh HaShanah) - Lev 23:24; 1 Thess 4:13-18; 1 Cor 15:52

    6. Atonement - Second Coming (Yom Kippur) - Lev 23:27 - returns with saints; Jewish remnant look on him they pierced and repent: Zechariah 12:10; Romans 11:1-6, 25-36

    7. Tabernacles - Millenial Reigns (Sukkot) - Lev 23:34; MIcah 4:1-7 - promise to tabernacle with His people, ends tribulation, rebuilds Temple, starts millennial reign from Mt Zion
