Issachar Gazette: Common Sense in an Age of Vain Ideology
Abre mis ojos
Its not about a homosexual agenda. There is a bigger picture. There is an agenda which seeks to subvert through very effect PR methods.
Francis Schaeffer in the 1970s pointed out that if you get fixated on the particulars, you miss the big picture, the wood for the trees. In a 1982 sermon entitled A Christian Manifesto, after his book, he said:
I want to say to you, those of you who are Christians or even if you are not a Christian and you are troubled about the direction that our society is going in, that we must not concentrate merely on the bits and pieces. But we must understand that all of these dilemmas come on the basis of moving from the Judeo-Christian world view -- that the final reality is an infinite creator God -- over into this other reality which is that the final reality is only energy or material in some mixture or form which has existed forever and which has taken its present shape by pure chance
The Trees Don't Miss the Woods!
It is about a broader agenda to subvert biblical standards of morality which revolutionised ancient practices in the past - which included promiscuous heterosexuality, homosexuality, bestiality, and incest.
It goes back to Eden.
a) Rebellion against God and His Divine / Creation Order, which includes sexual morality; see Psalm 1 and the inherent rebelliousness of People - Laodicea (justice of the people, not of God)
b) Without revelation, people cast off restraint, but Happy is He who keeps the Torah: Proverbs 29:18
c) Where there is no King, everyone does what is right in his own eyes. Judges 21:25
Lawlessness. Moral relativism (love whoever you want). And a new absolutism (don't oppose my agenda or I will destroy you, intolerant bigot). A new bigotry, which is anti-Christian specifically, is paraded as love, tolerance, diversity, inclusion - but this is a line: lust, intolerance of opposing views, exclusion of opposing views, diversity so long as it supports a new 'morality.'
Humanism. Enlightenment. Autonomy. Rebellion. Return to Leviticus 18. Attacking the sexual revolution Judaism gave birth to, which Christianity completed.
Cultural Totalitarianism of the Hard Left. Isaiah 5:20. Redefining reality through
a) Culture
b) Politics
c) Law
Law and Society 'scholars' like to
(i) Do surveys (which are always biased)
(ii) Paint a new reality (changing morality)
(iii) Hook this to an implicit moral relativism (as society changes, morality changes - and don't you dare object or impose your views as I impose my views) and a new absolutism (do not be judgmental, even as I judge you)
(iv) State this is the 'new norm'
(v) state that what is newly normal should be normative (authoritative, the right way) - just because a lot of people engage in corruption, does not mean you should endorse it.
What is "normal " (social custom) is normative?
That is, a shift from a Biblical Perspective (there is a God and a divine order) to a Humanist 'man is the measure of all things' worldview. Ideas have consequences. What happens when we depart from the Creation Order? When 'crimes against nature' become 'natural', born this way deceptions?
So, how low have we sunk?
1. Incest and Culture - in the movies
Here Comes Incest, Just as Predicted, Charisma News, 14 Sept 2012
Nick Cassavetes Says Incest Isn't A Big Deal, Compares It To Gay Marriage & Asks 'Who Gives A Damn?' Huffington Post
“I have no experience with incest. We started thinking about that. We had heard a few stories where brothers and sisters were completely, absolutely in love with one another. You know what? This whole movie is about judgment, and lack of it, and doing what you want.
Who gives a shit if people judge you? I’m not saying this is an absolute but in a way, if you’re not having kids – who gives a damn? Love who you want. Isn’t that what we say? Gay marriage – love who you want? If it’s your brother or sister it’s super-weird, but if you look at it, you’re not hurting anybody except every single person who freaks out because you’re in love with one another.”
2. Consequences of Same Sex Marriage: not a zero sum game. It will truncate and destroy
a) Freedom of Religion
b) Freedom of Speech
c) Parental Rights to Education
Open Letter from Parents of Homosexuals and Former Homosexuals to State Senator Ted Lieu of Torrance, California (Parents and Friends of Ex Gays and Gays)

Dear Senator Ted Lieu:
You claim that "sexual orientation conversion therapy is absolutely illegitimate' and that's why you "want to stop parents from sending their kids to it." The OC Register quotes you as saying: "The attack on parental rights is exactly the whole point of the bill because we don't want to let parents harm their children…Reparative therapy hurts children, so this bill [legislation SB 1172] allows us to stop parents from hurting their children."
Sponsoring legislation endorsed by the gay lobby to ensure that children only receive gay-affirming therapy is an act of childhood endangerment and an unconstitutional attempt to deny parental rights everywhere, but especially for parents in California and those in your Torrance district. Your bill will turn California into a nanny state by usurping the civil rights of parents who support their child's right to receive therapy for unwanted same-sex attractions, especially when that child has been sexually molested. This smacks of fascism and ex-gay bashing.
As parents of gays and ex-gays, we are ashamed of your willingness to take action against parents, children, and the family in order to support gay activists. It is people like you who endanger children, and not their parents, whom you wish to dictate on how they raise their own children. California is not a socialist state and our children do not belong to the government, subject to the ideology of the state over the objections of their parents.
You endanger youth by denying their right to receive therapeutic help, promoting homosexual behavior to sexually confused youth, and conveniently ignoring the facts about the psychological and physical health risks of sodomy. By your comments, it appears you lack credible knowledge about changeable sexual preference and that you have obtained biased information without consulting the ex-gay community.
Dr. Robert Spitzer - Homosexuals Can Change
Listen to Dr. Robert Spitzer’s prophetic words in this 2004 video clip:“The gay activists have taken the viewpoint that from a political strategic point of view they do better if they can convince society at large that once you are homosexual, you can never change, and I can appreciate it that that helps them politically, and I am sympathetic with their political goals, but I think that it is not true.”
d) Public goods: social harmony/order, public health, morality
Consider the following:
Same-Sex Marriage: Still a Tough Sell, Charisma News 17 Sept 2012

(extracts)
As homosexual marriage advocate Jonathan Rauch put it to NPR, “We are not asking, [as] gay marriage advocates, for the right to marry everybody or anybody, just to marry somebody.” What could sound more innocent? And so concerns about polygamy or school-led indoctrination are mocked as if we are worried about the Boogie Man or a monster under the bed.
But what about the rest of the world? Other countries that have submitted themselves to the wishes of LGBT advocates—where has it led them? Let’s start with Europe. Most LGBT activists praise many European countries for supposedly being “far ahead” of the United States regarding the legal privileges afforded LGBT individuals. Many Scandinavian countries support homosexual relationships, such as Denmark, for example, which was the first country to recognize civil partnerships for same-sex couples in 1989. Many other countries, like Great Britain, have implemented extensive diversity measures praised by LGBT activists worldwide
So let’s take a quick look at what’s going on in the public schools in the United Kingdom. After 15 years of service in sex education and other similar nonprofits, Simon Blake has been named the chairman of the anti-bullying nonprofit Diversity Role Models. The organization conducts workshops in public schools.
How does Mr. Blake believe bullying can be ended? He believes that schools will breed bullying and fear unless “gay sexuality becomes visible in schools. We need openness in the playground, in the classroom and in the behaviour of teachers,” the U.K’s Pink News reports.
These words speak of a “bridge too far” for the average American family. The purpose of school is not for any group to express or flaunt their sexuality or to create a “new normal” as is the name of a television show starting this fall. Are we to conclude that as part of a truly successful anti-bullying initiative, school children need to see two boys kissing at school or two teachers of the same gender in a romantic relationship?
Mr. Blake is giving voice to a viewpoint to which many sensible people are rightly concerned. LGBT activists want to indoctrinate children as early as possible with the idea that their sexual choices are healthy, normal and natural. This is, of course, what they believe. And now in the United Kingdom, school children will have to agree with them—or face accusations of being bullies.
Now let’s take a look southward at Brazil. Despite polls indicating that the majority of Brazilians do not favor legalizing homosexual marriage, the Brazilian Supreme Court ruled to redefine “family” to include homosexual relationships. But that’s not all. Earlier this year, three people—a man and two women—registered themselves as a “civil union” in Sao Paolo. Yes, you read that correctly. These people, in the eyes of the Brazilian courts, are in a legal, three-person union.
So maybe our concerns aren’t unfounded after all. I believe all human beings bear God’s image, and as such should be treated with respect and dignity. But treating LGBT individuals with respect and dignity does not require us to reorganize society according to their wishes or give them “superior rights” to the rest of us. It does not require us to submit our children for indoctrination about LGBT sexual practices, and it does not require that we make our legal system vulnerable to the slippery slope of eliminating the family altogether.

The Plan for a Gay (Domi) Nation, Charisma, 31 July 2012

Despite representing only 2 percent of the population, the radical homosexual agenda continues to change America. Can the church stem the moral tide?

Last year alumni from Wheaton College—what used to be the heart of conservative evangelicalism—made headlines for forming an organization to not only support the gay community, but also to promote the belief that homosexuality and Christianity are compatible. As on Christian college campuses throughout the United States, they have once again succeeded in convincing believers that Jesus’ command to “love your neighbor” means turning a blind eye to what the Bible explicitly calls an “abomination.”
“They” aren’t just Wheaton alumni or those who have formed similar groups—both official and unofficial—at Baylor, Harding, Samford, Seattle Pacific and a host of other universities and colleges. They would be the activists who have masterfully driven the gay agenda for more than 30 years and, with remarkable success and precision, changed our nation’s cultural mindset on homosexuality.
In 2008, Newsweek Religion Editor Lisa Miller wrote about “Joining the ‘Out’ Club” and wondered if Christian colleges might be “the last bastion of traditional values” standing amid these cultural changes: “As homosexuality ceases to be a cultural taboo, evangelicals increasingly have had to grapple openly with the question of how to deal with the gays and lesbians in their midst. Now, even on very conservative Christian campuses, there are gays who are ‘out’ and who want their authority figures to recognize them—and their sexuality—as deserving of God’s love.”
Yet Miller’s last phrase is proof of how effective this 30-year campaign has been. The question is not whether gays deserve God’s love or if He loves them more than a murderer, a glutton or someone who lusts in their heart. In fact, that’s exactly the line of thinking the gay agenda would rather Christians focus on, and one that has permeated a timid church fearful of offending those they’re witnessing to. No, the real issue is the mammoth, worldwide agenda of immorality that few within the global church are paying attention to or, more often, standing up to.
From Grace to Glee
From kindergartens to city councils to churches to the Supreme Court, the mainstreaming of homosexuality has reshaped everything in America. And one of the most powerful vehicles by which the gay agenda has accomplished this is media. The first television network program to feature a homosexual character in an ongoing role was the soap opera One Life to Live in 1992. By 1999, there were 25 sitcoms or daytime dramas with homosexual characters. Without exception, these characters were portrayed as witty, clever, lovable and just a little quirky.
It’s perfectly clear what the Hollywood writers and producers were doing—grinding away at public morality, using comedy as a vehicle to overcome the natural resistance of adults, and playing on the curiosity and credulity of children. By sheer persistence, the gay-friendly media have been forcing Americans to accept homosexuality as a normal and natural choice, whether they believe it or not.
Today, based on the large number of primetime TV shows that currently feature openly gay characters, you have to believe that the most favored and most protected type of sexuality is homosexuality. Over the last decade, overtly pro-gay programs such as Will and Grace, Queer as Folk, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, The L Word and Glee have been designed to desensitize Americans to the genuine risks of the homosexual agenda. Again, homosexuals are invariably portrayed as funny, sensitive and caring individuals. At the same time, critics of homosexuality are portrayed as bigoted and ignorant homophobes who have to learn to accept homosexuality as a valid lifestyle choice. Yet behind the scenes, how many people realize that organizations such as the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation actually have veto power over many of these scripts and can actually force directors and producers to rewrite dialogue that casts an unflattering light on homosexuals?
The gay agenda in media hasn’t just affected older audiences, but has been painfully apparent in targeting children under the guise of teaching “tolerance and diversity.” In January 2005, for example, several major children’s television shows joined with the We Are Family Foundation to promote the homosexual agenda using kiddy favorites such as Arthur, Barney, Bob the Builder, Dora the Explorer and Jimmy Neutron. After the characters sang “We Are Family” together, they directed kids to the website of the pro-homosexual We Are Family Foundation, which teaches them to accept and celebrate differences of race, class, genders and “sexual identity.”
A cartoon feature aired on the Disney Channel, Nickelodeon and PBS on March 11, 2005, and was supposed to be shown to kids in 61,000 schools nationwide. Each child was to be given a workbook designed by the very liberal, very pro-homosexual Anti-Defamation League. To top it off, children were being urged to visit a website where they could sign the “Tolerance Pledge,” which promises to respect all people whose “abilities, beliefs, culture, race, sexual identity or other characteristics are different from my own.”
